Dropbox provides a maximum storage capacity of 5GB. Dropbox is recently rocking around the web with it’s beta version. This service has great features compared to other file sharing services. Dropbox allows you to sync your file between multiple computers ( E.g.: Your Vista, Mac and WinXP machines ). You have a easy file recovery system if you have accidentally deleted the files. After the Microsoft’s Skydrive a online storage manage, Microsoft unveils Foldershare a file sync and sharing service. The UI is borrowed from the Skydrive. Foldershare makes you to get the latest files you have wherever you go! Foldershare can sync with your PC and Mac. What makes Foldershare differ from SkyDrive is the sync of files between computers and auto updation of file as soon as you edit it. So, that you don’t have to manually update the file.
Windows Skydrive is a personal online backup and file sharing service. Skydrive provides a 5 GB storage. Skydrive allows you to upload files from your system through the Skydrive web interface. This is the one which makes the usage of Skydrive irritating. Skydrive has a decent UI and simple navigation.

XDrive provides 5 GB of online storage for free. Unlike any other file storage and sharing services, XDrive provides desktop application ( AIR Application ) to upload the files your XDrive. Also XDrive allows to sync the files between various computers. But XDrive allows you to register via an AOL or AIM id.
drop.io is a private file storage and sharing service. You can drop any files into Drop.io and make it private / public based on your liking. You can share the files you dropped through the web link that gets generated with the name you choose. Also, drop.io allows you to drop any files through Email, Fax, Voice message. Also once you drop some files, you can change the layout of your drop area like blog, media & interactive. This is a quick way to share and manage your files compared to Rapidshare kind of services.
Box.net is another famous file sharing service. This is quite famous for few months around. And slowly loosing it’s shine to Dropbox. Box.net provides 1 GB storage space for free for 14 days and then charges $7.95 per months ( approximately 310 INR ). You can store files in the box via Email or upload the files from system via web interface. Also Box.net provides widget which helps you drop files into the box directly from the system.
eSnips allows 5 GB of storage space for free. Apart from file uploading, it gives you a control over the visibility of the file. You can mark a file as private / public. If your files are public, then they will be indexed by the eSnips search engine. Also, eSnips allows you to categorize and tag the files for easy spotting.
.docstoc is a free online document manager for professional documents. You might upload and share anykind of professional documents, templates. Currently .docstoc only supports .doc, .pdf, .xls, .ppt, .ppt, .txt files. Currently you can upload any number of documents, provided that the file which you upload are in the before said format.
